Biblical Instruction

Our philosophy is not simply to put a new suit on the man, but hopefully, a new man in the suit. Thus, the Mission program is geared more to life transformation by the changing power of the Word of God. Substance abuse and other sinful habits can only be permanently overcome through saving grace in Christ and subsequent replacement of new and godly habits. Our process necessitates the daily infusion of God's Word – The Bible – which motivates and strengthens one to holy living. (Psalm 119:9,11 Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word. Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.) To this end we intensely study Biblical principles that relate to men and women who have decided to follow Jesus and make a break from their former lifestyle.

Monday through Friday, residents in the
Christian Discipleship Program attend:
  • 1 1/2-hour daily Bible study
  • Chapel service
  • Evening devotions

For over 40 years Dr. Finnigan has been engaged in ministry: Pastoral, 27+ years; Bible College professor, 7+ years; Mission work, 7+ years; with authoring, radio, counseling, evangelizing and Bible conferences interspersed.
